Earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix, specializing in Java and Python programming, along with web-based applications. My studies also encompassed business intelligence tools, SQL development, and expertise in various database platforms. Additionally, I gained insights into software development methodologies and project management, providing a versatile skill set for navigating the intersection of technology and business.
As my most recent role at BCBSAZ, I've showcased strong leadership skills by steering the seamless migration from SQL 2005 to SQL 2019 with a focus on data integrity and minimal downtime. I work closely with application teams to migrate API web-based applications to an optimal environment, prioritizing performance. Managing complex replication tasks from diverse sources like DXC, HRP, METAVANCE, and others, I ensure data consistency. Overseeing a dynamic team of ten, I foster collaboration, manage daily database administration and provided technical leadership. Emphasizing continuous improvement, I guide the team in implementing best practices for scalable and reliable database operations.
I possess a versatile skill set in programming languages like C/C++, Visual Basic, .NET technologies (Visual Interdev, Visual Basic.Net, C#.Net), ASPX.NET, PHP, PowerBuilder, Java, Python, iPhone SDK, Objective-C, and Swift. My database proficiency spans MS SQL Server, MySQL, Access, Oracle, Teradata, Informix, DB2, Snowflake, Netezza, and various ODBC databases.
